Why did we create ?
We know how hard it can be to find time for a doctor's appointment in a packed calendar. Waiting lists, travel, time in the waiting room. And when you finally sit across from the doctor, there are often only a few minutes to talk about something as big and personal as your weight, your erections and your health.
Recepta was created as an alternative. The whole treatment takes place online, at your pace, with no waiting and no physical attendance. But digital does not mean we are in a hurry. We have deliberately organised ourselves so there is time to listen. The calm that the high pace of general practice rarely allows.

Discreet treatment
The whole treatment takes place from home with no physical attendance. We send no parcels and no recognisable mail, and all our doctors are bound by full confidentiality.
Fast treatment
You choose a time that suits you, including evenings and weekends. If the doctor approves your treatment, the prescription is often ready at your pharmacy the same day.
Safe treatment
Licensed Danish doctors and a registered treatment facility supervised by the Danish Patient Safety Authority (Styrelsen for Patientsikkerhed).
What you get at Recepta
A doctor from the first minute
At several online clinics you first meet a questionnaire or a nurse. With us it is the doctor who goes through your answers with you, never a receptionist or an AI chatbot.
Licensed Danish doctors
All consultations are handled by licensed Danish doctors with experience from the Danish hospital system, and you have the same doctor throughout your treatment.
Often started the same day
You choose a time that suits you, including evenings and weekends. We get you started within 24 hours on most weekdays.
Prescriptions sent straight to your nearest pharmacy
If the doctor approves your treatment, the e-prescription is sent electronically to your own pharmacy, often the same day. You collect the medication yourself and pay for it directly at the pharmacy.
No start-up fee
The consultation is free. Other clinics charge DKK 149 to 299 to get started, before you have even spoken to anyone.
Cancel at any time in the portal
The rolling membership has no binding period. You cancel yourself directly on My page, no later than 24 hours before a renewal.
No hidden costs
The membership covers consultation, prescription and follow-up. The medication is always bought separately at the pharmacy, and we say so clearly from the start.
Discreet and confidential
Your information is stored under GDPR on servers in the EU, and all doctors are bound by full confidentiality.

All our doctors are bound by full confidentiality, and your information is stored under GDPR and the guidelines of the Danish Health Data Authority (Sundhedsdatastyrelsen).
The medical expertise behind us
Treatment at Recepta is always provided by licensed Danish doctors following current clinical guidelines. We only treat when it is medically appropriate, and we say so honestly when medical treatment is not the right solution.

Responsible doctor
Adam Omari, medical doctor, PhD fellow and lecturer
Adam is the responsible doctor at Recepta. He trained as a medical doctor at the University of Copenhagen and has worked at Rigshospitalet since 2022. He has research experience from Harvard University and has taught medical students at the University of Copenhagen for almost ten years, where he also serves as an examiner for the next generation of new doctors.
